The album was produced by Precise, written by Leroy Edwards. Mystikal's re-release version of his eponymous debut album, titled Mind of Mystikal was released on October 10, 1995, by Jive Records. The re-release version added several new tracks. The re-release version debuted at number one on the US Billboard's Top Heatseekers Chart.
