The Hip Hop Da Kaperz band started Kirk’s career, comprising Rasheeda, his current wife. Kirk’s songs were also played in the movies too. Which involves Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Beauty Shop, The Fog and lately was the Day of Wrath.

When Da Kaperz Vanished, I thought that was that, UNTIL I was in the store and I saw her debut solo album Dirty South, which I purchased without hesitation (and without hearing any songs off it!) And it was some heat! HER Sophmore effort A Ghetto Dream is little known because it is further underground.

Da Kaperz signed on to D-Lo Entertainment, which Rasheeda works with to the present. The group had caught widespread attention by early 2000. Just a year later, Rasheeda began her career as a solo artist with Dirty South, a 2001 album between D-LO and Motown Records. Some of the other artists who also worked on Dirty South include Thugz Nation, Nelly and Jim Crow  . Rasheeda paid homage to her Southern roots with her third album, Georgia Peach. Working once more with D-Lo Entertainment, the more intimate lyrics in Georgia Peach were combined with a slightly slower rhythm.
