The New Hudson Saxophone Quartet (NHQ) is a rare combination: an ensemble dedicated to presenting American music with a string quartet approach and a beautiful, blending saxophone sound. Their repertoire can range from newly commissioned works by Robert Sirota and Robert Kyr to classic original repertoire by 19th-century American composers Caryl Florio and the 20th century Alec Wilder

World Saxophone Quartet: Experience by Phil DiPietro, published on June 23, 2004. Here, the members of the World Saxophone Quartet, who could tackle anything, jack the repertoire of Jimi Hendrix and render it to their whim. The WSQ is known for working without a rhythm section, but they use one here on 4 of 8 cuts (including "If 6 was 9"). That decision, coupled with whom they picked, is vital to the overall success of the outing.

The New York Saxophone Quartet is dedicated to commissioning new works for the saxophone ensemble and performing contemporary cutting-edge repertoire in both t. .e classical and jazz fields. The NYSQ is proud to welcome alto saxophonist Dan Goble to the Quartet. , The history of the NYSQ might be characterized as a series of fortuitous events: a chance conversation that brought about its existence. Ray Beckenstein, the founding.
