Chameleon Days is Yanni's fourth album, released on the Private Music label in 1988 (see 1988 in music). It peaked at on Billboard's "Top New Age Albums" chart in the same year. Corresponding concert tour was the "1988 Concert Series". On his new album, Chameleon Days (August 1988), Yanni reveals a more upbeat, playful and high-spirited side to his nature than many of his fans may be familiar with.
Chameleon Days is an attractive studio recording that features some of Yanni's better-known compositions: the romantic longing of "Reflections of Passion," the classically gassed "Marching Season," the stately progression of "The Rain Must Fall" (which elicits comparisons to the outro of Supertramp's "Crime of the Century"), and the delicate "A Word in Private. This was the very first album I purchased by Yanni back in the late 1980s. I loved the music at first listen.

Nightbird is a collection of rare and never before released recordings by Yanni, sparkles with imagination, flair and is sure to put a pulse in the bloodstream of even the casual listener. Being a skeptic, one will find a soothing yet orchestral wonder within the framework of each of Yanni's recordings.
