When the album is made, who’re you gonna sell it to? The population in Sweden is some 9,5 millions, Denmark some 5,5 millions, and Norway some 5 millions. Of these, only a handful will be interested in a musical theatre recording. They can of course afford it, as it’s their own musicals and the steer the ship, so to speak. But they could just as well NOT have done it. Another exception is the musical Which Witch, which has gotten three recordings (concept album, live concert, and cast recording), plus a DVD release of the London production. I wish more would follow in their footsteps. As for the POTO Stockholm revival, I am curious to be honest. I kinda see Peter Jöback would want to document this production and his performance. But I don’t see a double album happening, like the original production.
