Word about Leipzig s OverDubClub has spread to the heads and hearts of instrumental jam lovers right across Germany. Local artists regularly meet at the legendary Distillery (home to this beatmaker roundtable since 2012) for some serious production with analog and digital instruments. This has led to the release of this crowdfunded compilation, which, over the course of 12 tracks, blurs the lines between lo fi instrumental hip hop, house, broken beat, cloud and post dubstep. Also included are two live recordings of shows by the club s residents and guests
By now the Leipzig based OverDubClub got fixed in the heads of instrumental music lovers in Germany outside the city boundaries. The concept and the unique sound of a beatmaker roundtable which focuses not just on each participant´s productions, but also on the jam character, shows through diversity and individuality what is possible when making music collaboratively.
