The Missa Salisburgensis à 53 voci is a large baroque Mass setting for two vocal and instrumental choirs four (or orchestra) in the style of the Venetian polychorality. The anonymous traditional composition is now attributed to Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber; earlier were Orazio Benevoli or Andreas Hofer suspected as a composer. The fair was probably the first time in 1682 in Salzburg Cathedral on the occasion of the 1100 anniversary of the Diocese of Salzburg (calculated according to the tradition of the St. Peter House ) listed.
