After 7 is the self-titled debut album by After 7. The album was certified platinum by the RIAA on November 27, 1990, and spawned two R&B hits, "Ready or Not" and "Can't Stop. After 7 is an American R&B group founded in 1987 by brothers Melvin and Kevon Edmonds, and Keith Mitchell. Jason Edmonds, son of Melvin Edmonds, later joined. The Edmonds brothers are the siblings of pop/R&B ucer, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. Mitchell was long thought to be the cousin of Babyface's then-partner, songwriter-producer Antonio ". Reid, however, this was set up as a marketing tool for the group and was incorrect. Melvin Edmonds died on May 18, 2019, at the age of 65.

Reflections is the third and last studio album by After 7 before the group split in 1997. The album reunites them with producer Babyface, who along with his then partner . Reid, wrote and produced the majority of their self-titled debut. They also enlist the production talents of Babyface proteges Jon B and Keith Andes as well as newcomers The Boom Brothers.
