Uncut Dope: Geto Boys' Best is the first compilation album by the Geto Boys, released on November 17, 1992, on Rap-a-Lot and Priority Records.

The Geto Boys (originally spelled "Ghetto Boys") are a Gangsta Rap group from Houston, Texas, USA, active since 1986, consisting of Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill. Their 1990 album, The Geto Boys, had to switch distributors from Geffen to Giant Records due to controversy over the graphic portrayal of rape, necrophilia, and murder in the song "Mind of a Lunatic.

This gross, dated track from Uncut Dope also happened to be the public’s first taste of the Geto Boys’ newest member, Big Mike, who stepped in to replace Willie D briefly. While it does feature some strong lyrical performances, the Geto Boys’ only 21st-century album doesn’t feature production work quite up to par with their best stuff.

The Geto Boys (originally spelled Ghetto Boys) are an American rap group from Fifth Ward, Houston, Texas. The group's classic lineup comprised Bushwick Bill, Scarface and Willie D. The Geto Boys earned notoriety for lyrics covering controversial topics such as misogyny, gore, psychotic experiences and necrophilia. The group enjoyed success in the 1990s with several certified albums and singles.

The track was one of two unreleased tracks that appeared on the 1992 compilation Uncut Dope: Geto Boys' Best, and it was released as a single with a music video. com/watch?v I1L8l3LrzLA. The song’s lyrics explore the idea of what it means to be a gangsta, with Scarface and Bushwick Bill subverting the image of an ignorant, reckless gangsta

When Uncut Dope was released in 1992, the Geto Boys had four records behind them, and they were riding high on the success of We Can't Be Stopped. This was thanks in large part to the touching "Mind Playing Tricks on Me," a song clean enough to be played on mainstream radio that managed to be almost as psychologically grim as the horrifying "Mind of a Lunatic. This is a lean collection of a dozen tracks, most of which are pulled from The Geto Boys and We Can't Be Stopped, which makes perfect sense.

The opening track of Geto Boys’ third album pulled no punches. The song is about them being banned by Geffen Records after the controversy that their previous album Grip It! On That Other Level sparked. Released not long after Straight Outta Compton, Geto Boys’ second album Grip It! On That Other Level was every bit as controversial AND good as . s monumental classic, but never as widely celebrated.
