Other Voices is the seventh studio album by the Doors, released by Elektra Records in October 1971. It was the first album released by the band following the death of the lead singer Jim Morrison in July 1971 with keyboardist Ray Manzarek and guitarist Robby Krieger sharing lead vocals. Tracks for the album had begun before Morrison's death and the band hoped that Morrison would return from Paris to finish them.
Guided By Voices’ (GBV) new album Zeppelin Over China is a strong follow-up to last year's Space Gun, an album considered by a good few as a proper comeback for the veteran US indie rockers with 26 albums under their belt. Zeppelin is an album that lurches with rocking energy and which presents frontman Robert Pollard’s (he is GBV) affinity for classic and progressive rock alongside psychedelic pop. Not only the first classic hip-hop album, but a sharp breaking point from the buoyant post-disco rhythms and future-shocked electro that dominated the genre's first five years on record. Establishing group improvisation in rock, Live/Dead was (like James Brown's Live at the Apollo ) music that could only be created on a stage. Not merely an afterthought to a studio recording, the double-LP was a testament to the power of live music and, more specifically, an advertisement for the Dead's ever-changing show.

No instruments were used in the recording of this unique version of the album. Eight singers and one "vocal percussionist" (similar to a beatboxer) recreate the original work in its entirety.
