Slobodan Trkulja (pronounced ; born May 29, 1977) is a Serbian t, composer and singer in traditional and Byzantium style. Trkulja is one of the first artists who composed, performed, and popularized Balkan Traditional Music with a modern approach in arrangements. He is the founder of the Modern Balkan Tradition music genre, although he is most famous for his collaboration with Metropole Orchestra from Netherlands in 2008.

Slobodan Trkulja (born 2. 5. 1977 in Odzaci) is Serbian musician, compositor and vocal. Trkulja, together with his group "Balkanopolis" performs music built on traditional ethnic motives which he calls "tradimodern music of Balkan" or modern tradition. He studied and graduated on Amsterdam Jazz Conservatorium, section for saxophone. It is interesting that he never attended music school before he went to study in Amsterdam, but he was playing kaval, flute and bagpipe professionaly since he was 14 years old.
