Their second album The Drum is Everything (produced by Mike Thorne) drew some praise. Parris and Darby conjured the effect of a full ensemble backing to McCourt's vocals, and alternated between soulful ballads, gospel, blues and jazz. That album was followed by 1995's World's Gone Crazy with producers including Carmel McCourt, Jim Parris, Gerry Darby, Julian Mandelsohn and Mike Thorne.

Carmel were a brilliant little band as a three piece who were never overpowered by expanded big band arrangements. Carmel McCourt's voice was clearly their biggest asset but as a voice/rhythm section combination they were a genuine band no matter how many or few other musicians joined them on stage or in the studio. It is c shame that they were so far ahead of their time. 01. More, More, More (06:25) 02. Stormy Weather (03:42) 03. The Drum Is Everything (01:59) 04. I Thought I Was Going Mad (01:46) 05.
