Dig Out Your Soul is the seventh and final studio album by English rock band Oasis, released on 6 October 2008 by Big Brother Records. The album had three singles. The first single, "The Shock of the Lightning", was released shortly before the release of the album, on 29 September 2008.

I'm Outta Time' contains an excerpt from John Lennon interview with Andy Peebles for BBC Radio 1. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London, England 2007. Mastered at Metropolis Mastering.

At the very least, Dig Out Your Soul makes inroads to redressing both issues: the lilting sea shanty "Falling Down" is Noel's most graceful balladic turn since B-side "The Masterplan", while lead single "The Shock of the Lightning" is exactly the sort of tune Oasis needs more of to stave off impending geezerdom, a hard-driving strobe-lit rocker . While slavish Beatles idolatry has been Oasis' stock and trade since day one, the band's definitive early material at least roughed up the Fabs' pop classicism with pronounced punk, glam, shoegazer, and Madchester influences. However, over the past 10 years Oasis have gradually curbed those corrupting devices without replacing them with any new aesthetic inspiration.

America, always a smidge baffled by the band’s essential Britishness, has continued to quietly (but dismissively) applaud each subsequent effort, while the British media’s Gallagher fascination has cooled to the point where they can actually bear to discuss the music every now and then. Which brings us to Dig Out Your Soul.

The band's forthcoming release Dig Out Your Soul is the band's seventh studio album and their first new music since the release of their 2006 hit single Lord Don't Slow Me Down, which was featured in the movie by the same name and directed by Baillie Walsh. Produced by Dave Sardy who also produced Oasis' 2005 album Don't Believe The Truth, Dig Out Your Soul is a collaborative effort among the band members, which includes lead vocalist Liam Gallagher, guitarists Noel Gallagher and Gem Archer, and bassist Andy Bell

But unfortunately, Dig Out Your Soul is not over yet by a long way. It’s almost as though, feeling pretty pleased with himself, Noel has taken the afternoon off and let the rest of the band finish the record. Like New Labour, they’ve benefited from the good fortune of ten years of relative plenty. But really, the great football songs are the ones you sing when you’re losing – when you’re relegated to the third division, or you’ve been twatted at home by United or your club’s been taken over by criminal plutocrats.

In addition to the album, the box will also include an additional CD with three B-sides and six remixes. There’s also a DVD containing 40 minutes of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage featuring the making of the album and The Shock of the Lightning video. The box set will also feature heavyweight vinyl containing the album and bonus tracks, a 24-page hardcover booklet and an MP3 download of the album.
