Dream Theater is the twelfth studio album by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, released through Roadrunner Records on September 23, 2013 in Europe and a day later in North America. The album was written, recorded, mixed, and mastered between January and May 2013 at Cove City Sound Studios in Long Island, New York, the same studio as the band's previous album, A Dramatic Turn of Events (2011). It is the first Dream Theater album to include drummer Mike Mangini in the songwriting process.

Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. They subsequently dropped out of their studies to concentrate further on the band that would ultimately become Dream Theater. Though a number of lineup changes followed, the three original members remained together until September 8, 2010, when Portnoy left the band

Country of origin: United States. Location: Long Island, New York. Drums (2011-present). Drums, Vocals (additional) (1988-2010).

Dream Theater is Dream Theater, it’s always a stylistic blend of a lot of different things. But all I can say about it at this point is we kind of want to figure out what the core of who we are and what the music is and just kind of present that. Is there any play for Liquid Tension Experiment to come back and do some record? There’s no plan for it, but you never know in life what’s gonna happen.

Dream Theater - "Distance Over Time" Album Teaser. Dream Theater's upcoming release, "Distance Over Time", comes out in February, 2019. With this album, a return to the band's roots, Dream Theater hoped to create a fan engagement experience unlike any previously undertaken.

In particular, both Dream Theater and Dixie Dregs approached Jordan almost at the same time inviting him to join their respective bands. Rudess chose to join with the Dregs, partially because being a full time member of a band was too much of a commitment to a father of young children. As a matter of fun facts; here’s a facsimile of an old news article regarding Jordan’s wedding: Nancy Danielle Kornfeld, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo L. Kornfeld of Rye, . and Wilmington, V. was married yesterday to Jordan Charles Rudes, a son of Rita Rudes of Great Neck, . and the late Sidney Rudes.

Has some cool stuff on it. The Burbank, CA show was a one-off gig with Jordan Rudess, who couldn't commit to DT fully at the time because of touring commitments with the Dixie Dregs. Derek Sherinian is the keyboardist for the rest of these tracks. The "Precious Dreams" bootleg has some higher quality recordings of the Esparrago show, but some versions of The Rudess Experiment CD have a short clip of Under A Glass Moon which can't be found on Precious Dreams. Remarkably, the cover medley from Lubbock, TX is on video (search user DreamTheaterBootlegs on YouTube).
