News of the World is the sixth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 28 October 1977 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. News of the World was the band's second album to be recorded at Sarm West and Wessex Studios, London, and engineered by Mike Stone, and was co-produced by the band and Stone.

We Will Rock You" is a song written by Brian May and recorded by Queen for their 1977 album News of the World. Rolling Stone ranked it number 330 of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004, and it placed at number 146 on the Songs of the Century list in 2001. In 2009, "We Will Rock You" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

We Will Rock You (often abbreviated as WWRY) is a jukebox musical, based on the songs of Queen and named after their hit single of the same name. The musical was written by British comedian and author Ben Elton in collaboration with Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. However, the only major complaint of the whole thing is that, while ‘We Will Rock You’ is truly a fun and energetic spectacle, it just can’t compare to the originals. Freddie Mercury’s untouchable charisma and Brian May’s unmistakeable guitar playing are part of the charm of Queen’s music, and while the cast in this recording have more than done a brilliant job, the bottom line is that I’d rather just listen to Queen themselves.
