Hidden (often stylized as ĦỊĐĐỂŅ) is the second studio album by British art rock band These New Puritans. Featuring a wider sonic palette than previous work and sections played by a Czech orchestra, it was produced by frontman Jack Barnett and former Bark Psychosis leader Graham Sutton during 2009. Before their second album Hidden was released, Barnett revealed that he had been writing music for bassoon and stated that the aim was for a final product where "dancehall meets Steve Reich".

These New Puritans' debut album arrives on a wave of excitement. Angular, brash and unashamedly intellectual - the band are seen by some as exemplifying a 'New Eccentricity' in guitar music. A movement away from luddite, retro indie. TNP sound great on paper. Driving guitars, stripped down drums, 6th form poetry - the final result on Beat Pyramid is more familiar indie territory than the experimentalism we could have hoped for. Acts like The Fall, The Futureheads and Klaxons are obvious reference points. On opening track, Numerology (aka Numbers) frontman Jack Barnett declares over and again "Every number has a meanin., clearly drawing from the Mark E Smith school of shouty vocals.

The group consists of Jack Barnett (songwriter, producer, vocalist, t), his twin brother George Barnett (drums, loops), Thomas Hein (bass guitar, sampler, drums), and Sophie Sleigh-Johnson (keyboards, sampler). Elisa Rodrigues joined TNPs after Sophie's departure in 2012.

MP3 Music, March 31, 2014. I highly recommend this album, the songs are brief, aggressive and well written but the album itself is solid and very balanced. You'll find this record to be one of those few records which is all around good times and you never find yourself skipping any of the songs.
