Newell Dayley and Ralph G. Rodgers authored several Mormon musicals based on Book of Mormon themes, the most interesting/bizarre (cover photos!) being MORONI, A MUSICAL PLAY BASED UPON THE LIVES OF MORMON AND MORONI ON THE BOOK OF MORMON (1975 or so)-the cover art depicting Book of Mormon American Indians (Nephites; opposing them were the cursed Lamanites, who later prevailed.
