Wild Child is the debut studio album from American actress and musician E. G. Daily, released by A&M in 1985. But anyone who heard Daily's debut album, Wild Child, learned that most of the songs are neither urban contemporary nor dance-pop; overall, Wild Child is a pop/rock album. The LP's most dance-oriented tracks are "Say It, Say It" and an inspired cover of Donna Summer's "Sunset People". But the rest of the tracks are straight-up pop/rock.

The Wild Child (French: L'Enfant sauvage, released in the United Kingdom as The Wild Boy) is a 1970 French film by director François Truffaut. Featuring Jean-Pierre Cargol, François Truffaut, Françoise Seigner and Jean Dasté, it tells the story of a child who spends the first eleven or twelve years of his life with little or no human contact. It is based on the true events regarding the child Victor of Aveyron, reported by Jean Marc Gaspard Itard. The film sold nearly . million tickets in France.

Wild Child sold 6000 copies of their self released debut hitting one on Hype Machine three times. The band returned in 2013 with a sparkly album, The Runaround, plus a record deal with the Austin boutique label The Noise Company. For the making of the album Wild Child enlisted indie rock nobleman Ben Kweller to sit in the Producers chair. Kweller was instrumental in harnessing the band's youthful energy and combining it with their natural sense of nostalgia. All of this makes for a timeless set that slams you in the arm with a pop injection one minute and caresses your heart the next
