Twilight is an American black metal supergroup formed in 2005 and originally commissioned by the Swedish underground label Total Holocaust Records. Twilight’s Monument to Time End is sure to create another. This is not a stereotypical black metal record. By stereotypical black metal, I am referring to Ov Hell’s debut record, where the blast beats goes on forever and the tremolo picking doesn’t end. This record is very well put together. All in all, Monument to Time End is an album recommended for fans of black metal who would like to see the genre pushed past its typical boundaries, into something much more meaningful and original, whilst not losing any of its intensity. Twilight‘s upcoming new album Monument To Time End has been set for a tentative April 27th release date through Southern Lord. As previously reported, the groups latest incarnation sees the following line-up: Blake Judd (Nachtmystium) Wrest (Leviathan, Lurker of Chalice) N. Imperial (Kreig) Stavros Giannopolous (The Atlas Moth) Sanford Parker (Minsk, Buried At Sea) Aaron Turner (Isis, Old Man Gloom). In addition, Robert Lowe of Lichens, OM also contributes guest vocals on three tracks.
