Roll On is the second album by Australian rock band The Living End, released in Australia and New Zealand on EMI in 2000, and internationally on Reprise/Warner Brothers in 2001. Musically, the album marked a change from the sound of their debut album, The Living End. Roll On had a notably more polished sound (as compared to the more garage-y sound of the previous album). Horn sections featured on numerous songs, such as Uncle Harry and Killing The Right.

The excellent new cd Roll On embroiders largely on the successful debut. Now is also the starting point again, but punk rock excursions in the direction of reggae, ska, surf and rock & roll give the songs by The Living End the necessary variety and originality. In addition is heard clearly that the boys have grown up with plates of The Stray Cats and compatriots AC/DC. Taking note from their number one Australian debut in 1998, the ARIA awards, and spots on Vans' Warped Tour, The Living End grow up, but continue to rampage on with their rowdy punkabilly on Roll On. Not entirely relying on the spirit of 1977 punk rock, their sophomore effort pulls toward their Aussie rock roots (AC/DC, Rose Tattoo) and a touch of British class for an eager modification, and it's a smart move.

Roll on: The first single from the album. Great way to open any album with its melodic opening riff to the great solo in the bridge. Its about going on strike when working on the docks and trying to keep your spirits up while the higher powers are in negotiation. Good song, good lyrics. 5/5. Pictures in the mirror: Second single from the album. Good track with a really catchy chorus but hasnt got that trade mark guitar line you expect from living end. But maybe some songs just dont require i. .as in living ends view, this one obviously didnt. 4/5. Blood on your hands: One of my favourite tracks on the album. Really jazzy feel with the versemainly due to the great bassline and then slams in the chorus. I really like the lyrics in this song as well. life is a sin, living to win, and we are all sinners after al.
