Telemann composed many baroque concertos for various instruments, but none seem as sublime as those for oboe. On this disc, Sarah Frances coaxes beautiful sound from her instrument and the harpsichord and orchestral accompinament lends perfect balance. The tempi are well thought out and the dynamic play between soloist and players is just right. This is perfect music for breakfast on a Saturday morning - sipping coffee, watching the trees and allowing Telemann's sonorities to fill the air.

The harpsichord concertos, BWV 1052–1065, are concertos for harpsichord, strings and continuo by Johann Sebastian Bach. There are seven complete concertos for a single harpsichord (BWV 1052–1058), three concertos for two harpsichords (BWV 1060–1062), two concertos for three harpsichords (BWV 1063 and 1064), and one concerto for four harpsichords (BWV 1065).
