To form his cinematic soundscapes, Anderson often delves into his archive, digging up forgotten snippets of the voices of friends, some long gone and some present still. Listening to DREKKA is like observing the process of remembering. Although sourced from the original recordings that Annelies Monseré made for her second album, 'Marit' (2009, Auetic), this is not a record of remixes. VERJAARDAG feels like a lost record, long forgotten to be rapturously rediscovered, although it has only just been made.

We are pleased to announce the next release on Bluesanct will be an ‘art vinyl’ re-issue of ‘Verjaardag’; Drekka’s reworking the 2009 album 'Marit’ by Annelies Monseré. The album features Annelies Monseré, w/ Drekka, Nathan Amundson (Rivulets), Jessica Bailiff, Ellen Evers, and Justin Vollmar. This is a joint release from Bluesanct and Red Frost Industries, in a one-time pressing of 250 copies.

Annelies Monseré is a Belgian singer-songwriter with beautiful voice and piano playing, imaginative and thoughtful. Her debut album "Helder" was released in 2005 on BlueSanct, the EP "7" on cut vinyl on Morc Tapes the same year. Annelies Monseré also performs in the duo Zent One (she uses cello, guitar, melodica and glockenspiel as well) and played . for Jessica Bailiff live. In 2007, she recorded a 4-track ep with Jessica Bailiff.
