Aaron Thibeaux "T-Bone" Walker (May 28, 1910 – March 16, 1975) was an American blues guitarist, singer, songwriter and t, who was a pioneer and innovator of the jump blues and electric blues sound. In 2018 Rolling Stone magazine ranked him number 37 on its list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". Walker was born in Linden, Texas, of African-American and Cherokee descent. His parents, Movelia Jimerson and Rance Walker, were both musicians.

Blue Note Records The Best Of The Black And White & Imperial Years is an electric guitar blues master class, including Life Is Too Short, Cold Cold Feeling and the countrified Alimony Blues. All or any of these will get you through a stormy monday, and the rest of the week before you let your wig down and get stuck into some T-Bone Shuffle.

His guitar, vocals, song selection, and sheer style live on today in nearly every blues performer. - Michael Erlewine, Rovi. T-Bone Walker is best known for composing "Stormy Monday," but the late guitarist's impact extended far beyond writing one of the enduring classics of the blues. He pioneered the electric guitar in the late 1930s and established it as a lead instrument playing single string solo lines rather than just rhythm chords. Walker later played guitar in traveling shows featuring the great early blues singers Ida Cox and Ma Rainey. Walker moved to Los Angeles in 1935 and cut the first song on the Mosaic package in 1940 with the Les Hite Orchestra. After World War II ended, he hit his stride.
