Space Invader is the sixth solo album by former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley, released on August 19, 2014 via eOne Music. It is his first album of new studio material since 2009's Anomaly. Frehley self-produced the album, which was recorded at The Creation Lab in Turlock, California. On its release, the album reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, the only time a solo album from a past or current Kiss member has ever attained a US top 10 album position.

His first album with his "Frehley's Comet" band was also a big seller. Frehley is also known for the use of many "special effects" guitars, including a Gibson Les Paul guitar that emits smoke from the neck humbucker pickup and produces spinning pyrotechnics, and a custom Les Paul that emits light based on song tempo. TITLE added to MP3 cart. His skill after KISS was deteriorated due to his personal issues, but he has been sober for a while and has clearly embraced his new outlook. As I listen to this disc over and over and over again, it becomes clear how powerful his influence was in the original glory of 1970's KISS. His sound and style from back then can be heard thoughout Space Invader and its great. I can't help picturing Gene and Paul listening to this new ACE disc and being jealous as hell. I'm a fan of everything from his 1978 solo album (still the best of the four) to Space Invader. Ace doesn't try anything experimental or delve into different types of music. He just writes and plays good, solid hard rock music.
