Following the massive commercial success of her eighth studio album Fever (2001), Minogue enlisted a diverse group of writers and producers to aid in creating a new album, including Cathy Dennis, Dan Carey, Emiliana Torrini, Johnny Douglas, and Kurtis Mantronik among others.

Sure it's still simple dance-pop, but this time she (and a team of producers and writers - including Kurtis Mantronik - it must be said) has put together an album that works as a piece. It's stylish without being smarmy, retro without being ironic, and its energy never gets annoying. In other words: a near perfect pop record. Instead of opting for more of the light dance- and disco-pop of the last two releases, Kylie has sought to expand her horizons
Sex goddess, patron of many a thing, and general cool person and great musician. This is her latest album in a career that spans a whopping 16 years. This album has been of much lesser success than her two previous albums (2002's Fever and 2000's Light Years), which cemented her as one of the leading pop acts in the world. Anyway, onto the album. The album is a greta mix of disco-esque pop music which simply makes you wanna get up and dance
