Fitzgerald's first track promoted her recent album Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Rodgers & Hart Songbook (1956), and after several teething problems with the microphone, and tempo problems on "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down (And Write Myself a Letter)", she delivers a stunning scat solo on "Air Mail Special", quoting from several recent pop hits.

Sunday 23rd Oct. 2016Does the the U.S. stereo issue have the same mix as this UK issue? My UK copy's labels definitely say "Stereo", but the audio is fake stereo. Fake, fake, fake. Left channel audio is jacked up treble; exaggerated smiley-face eq.. Right channel audio eq: treble is turned all the way down; muffled. No instrument or voice separation at all; all instruments and Ella's voice are audible in both channels, so the source for this issue is apparently a mono mix.:-(Anyone have a review of either the stereo or mono mix of the U.S. issues?

My copy of this says that it was printed in Germany. I found this on the lower right cover on the back. Also says made in Germany in the etching. Possibly released in 1965 and again found in the etching.
