The Beatles, also known as "The White Album", is the ninth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 22 November 1968. A double album, its plain white sleeve has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed, which was intended as a direct contrast to the vivid cover artwork of the band's previous LP Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

It was around this time that the term "Beatlemania" was first coined and this was very much in evidence when they took part in that year's Royal Variety Performance in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother and Princess Margaret. If that wasn't enough they also had to write, record and promote three new 45's all of which reached the n. spot in the UK charts. None of the tracks from With The Beatles was released as a single in the UK and the distinctive black and white cover shot by Robert Freeman also broke new ground for a pop album. The Making Of With The Beatles.
From their standpoint, it made sense creatively, since these were the albums they intended to make, and it also made sense from a consumer standpoint, since these British LPs were longer than their foreign counterparts, particularly the American LPs released between 1964 and 1965. Most egregiously, the stereo Second Album is drowning in echo; it sounds as if it were mastered inside a cavernous tank.
No, because it was an unofficial release. It’s mentioned in the articles on the Red and Blue albums though. com Tuesday 16 July 2013. The Beatles Love Songs compilation, I received for Christmas 1977. My first Beatles album, it is of course a double. I loved it and I still love the Beatles.
The Beatles' final album, which was actually recorded before 'Abbey Road' but released after, was mired in confusion. After the sprawling and tension-filled sessions for 'The White Album,' in which the four members basically became each other's backing bands, the Beatles secluded themselves in the studio, hoping to rekindle their passion for music and each other. A Hard Day's Night' (1964). The Beatles' third album doubles as the soundtrack to their first movie. But more importantly, it's the first Beatles album to include all original songs by Lennon and McCartney. Not all of the songs ended up in the film, but 'A Hard Day's Night' is the group's first LP that flows with some consistency, since there are no covers (or cuts sung by Ringo) to disrupt the pace.
It only became an official Beatles studio album because it happened to come out when they broke up. If they’d released Let It Be on schedule, before Abbey Road, it would be precisely as famous as the Yellow Submarine soundtrack. Both have a few genuine Beatles songs, plus a load of lesser epiphenomena that belongs in a movie. It’s a grey area what counts as a Beatles album and what’s merely a Beatles project. In the 1970s, fans argued over whether Hey Jude and Hollywood Bowl were official Beatles albums. Nobody argues about that anymore.
Beatles VI contains songs appearing elsewhere on the EMI albums Beatles For Sale and Help!. It's an odd mix of raucous covers ("Kansas City", "Dizzy Miss Lizzie", "Bad Boy") and more low-key stuff forecasting their move into more sophisticated territory ("Tell Me What You See", the excellent "Every Little Thing"). This guarantees a schizophrenic album experience, though the quality of the new Beatles originals probably gave fans at the time an awful lot to be happy about. So: Four d records with great sound for which most people born after 1965 will have limited need. At the very least, I enjoy hearing these songs in a slightly different light than I'm accustomed, though I wonder how long the band and its various business partners will be able to count on fans' interest in w product.
