Lights" and "Munich" start off the the record with an incredible one-two punch. Lights" is full of Tom Smiths's dark and full vocals and those eerie atmospheric guitars. It's quite an epic and a great start. Munich" is probably the best song on the album and easily one of the songs of the year. Blood" is also a great tune. The Back Room has given birth to four great singles, classic indie floor fillers.
Tom Smith's resonating vocals cozy up to a frenzied, atmospheric musical backdrop, creating a swirling, chaotic sound not unlike the Chameleons' or Adorable's. Contains the exclusive non-album track "Release.
Produced by Jim Abbiss. This wicked city Just drags you down You're with the red lights Your side of town. Don't say it's easy To follow a process There's nothing harder Than keeping a promise. Blood runs though your veins That's where our similarity ends Blood runs through our veins Blood runs though your veins That's where our similarity ends Blood runs through our veins. Blood is the third single to be released from The Back Room. The track seems to about misplacing your trust in someone who has proved himself/herself untrustworthy before. Since the person the song is directed towards is not able to be trusted, the only thing he/she and the singer have in common is the blood in their veins, as mentioned in the lyrics.
The Back Room PRWNDWIA Some complain about the amount of filler, but to be honest bar the last two songs which I don't really. Some complain about the amount of filler, but to be honest bar the last two songs which I don't really.
