Guns N' Roses, often abbreviated as GNR, is an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1985. When they signed to Geffen Records in 1986, the band comprised vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler. The current lineup consists of Rose, Slash, McKagan, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardist Melissa Reese.
Inside the Guns N’ Roses Reunion and His New Album. The guitarist gives his first extensive interview on reuniting with GNR and explains why he’s not quitting his solo career. At this point, you’ve got somebody like Jack White who definitely has kept guitar at the forefront and kept it relevant – because he’s got some great ideas and his songs are good and his whole direction is something that people fucking dig. Then the guitar all of a sudden works great. So it really depends where the guitar sits with the artist that’s performing.
If Guns 'N Roses follow through, and release an album in the next couple of years, they'll officially be on a de cycle, which isn't a bad spot for them, honestly. We're very curious to know what a Slash-and-Axl looks like in the 2020s and beyond. Guns N' Roses Richard Fortus.

Guns N' Roses' Richard Fortus and Slash, via YouTube: Guns N' Roses. Now, guitarist Richard Fortus says the band’s focus will shift toward creating their first album since 2008’s Chinese Democracy. During the band’s aforementioned concert at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, singer Axl Rose stated from the stage, We can’t do what’s next until we finish this, right? Now that all that’s done, we can get on with things. While Axl’s words may have seemed a little cryptic, Fortus confirmed in a new interview with St. Louis radio station KSHE (listen below) that the next thing is an album. We are going to try to do another record and get it out soon, said Fortus.
Here’s the original album cove. ere’s Robert Williams original paintin. fter some music retailers refused to stock the album, Geffen Records put the photo on the inside and replaced it with an image depicting a cross and skulls of the five band members with each skull representing one member of the band: Izzy Stradlin, top skull; Steven Adler, left skull; Axl Rose, center skull; Duff McKagan, right skull; and Slash, bottom skull. The design by Billy White J. was originally a tattoo on Axl Roses’ right forearm. Check it ou. nother interesting thing is that the vinyl version of the album is split up into side G and side R instead of side A and B. Tracks 1-6 which on side G all deal with drugs and hard life in the big city.
