Twilight of the Innocents is the fifth studio album by Ash, released on 29 June 2007 in Ireland and 2 July 2007 in the United States and the United Kingdom. The album was produced by Tim Wheeler, and mixed by Michael Brauer. In 2006, Ash bought the lease for three years for a recording studio in New York City, and decided to record their follow up to 2004's Meltdown here. This album marks the band's first release since returning to its original "power trio".

If this is to be the end in this format, Twilight Of The Innocents is a fabulous epitaph, as it is crammed with many old-fashioned qualities; an abundance of melody; superb orchestration (completed with Rolling Stones/Eton John legend Paul Backmaster), and a wit and lightness.
