Jean-Louis Michel (1785 – 1865) was a fencing master, sometimes hailed as the foremost exponent of the art of fencing in the nineteenth century. Jean-Louis was born in Saint-Domingue (now Haiti) in 1785. His father was a fencing coach for the French army In his youth, Jean Louis took part in a winner take all tournament to the death. In the final Jean-Louis, a slight man of around 5' 2", duelled for 1 whole hour with a Spanish opponent who was 6 ft tall.

Jean-Michel André Jarre (French: ; born 24 August 1948) is a French composer, performer and record producer. He is a pioneer in the electronic, ambient and new-age genres, and known for organising outdoor spectacles featuring his music, vast laser displays and fireworks. Jarre was raised in Lyon by his mother and grandparents and trained on the piano.
