Notes

This 5 LP set is book-ended by the two ‘proper’ albums that the band recorded, “Begin Here” and “Odessey And Oracle”. In between, “Early Days” and “Continue Here” round up the band’s various A-sides, B-sides and EP tracks. The fourth LP faithfully recreates the “R.I.P.” album, an intended posthumous release of overdubbed outtakes that was shelved when new band Argent emerged from the ashes of The Zombies.

The whole set is housed in a rigid slipcase. The inner sleeves include photos from designer Phil Smee’s extensive collection, while the albums are pressed on different coloured 180 gram vinyl.

Hawk Flying
Nicely packaged, released on different coloured records.Normally I pass on the colours, not just because they sound bad -it's just that i like my vinyl the way i like my coffee-, but this blows me away.Demon is a BBC label and does a hell of a jobb on background info, memorablia pictured on the innersleeves of the records (with pictures of singles etc released around the records). What I pitty is that they released them in relatively hard papersleeves, instead of nice plastic innersleeves.. The records sound very clean and direct. Not sure if they are analogue -probably not- but they sound here and very now. Crisp clear without a pop or crackle.. the way every label should treat their product. Also: _+/- 100 eu for this boxset is a steal, considering the musical joy you are taking into your house with these albums. Ofcourse: They could have released the records just like they used to be, but the sleeves don't feel flimsey or cheap. Overall, price/quallity is pretty spot on and a nice opportunity to get all Zombies records (that matter) into your home at once.
