Slapp Happy (also known as Casablanca Moon) is a studio album by German/British avant-pop group Slapp Happy, recorded at Virgin Records' Manor Studio in 1974. This album was originally recorded in 1973 in Germany under a working title of Casablanca Moon with Faust as Slapp Happy's backing band, but Polydor Germany rejected it. After moving to London and signing with Virgin Records, Slapp Happy re-recorded it (at Virgin's request) and it was released in 1974 as Slapp Happy

Only for completionists (0%). I've tried to like this album, I really have. And although I sometimes find Dagmar Krause and her sometimes shrill vocals to be a detriment, she actually sounds good on the album, so she wasn't the problem. The problem is that this album just isn't very interesting.

The history of this album is a bit complicated. Originally titled Casablanca Moon, it was recorded for Polydor in 1973, but scrapped when the group signed with Virgin; their first Virgin release was an entirely re-recorded version of the same material, although it was entitled Slapp Happy when released. To compound the confusion, the Virgin version was retitled Casablanca Moon when it was reissued on CD in 1993 (on a single-disc release that also included their 1974 Virgin album Desperate Straights). Acnalbasac Noom is the original, 1973 recording of the.

Slapp Happy with four of six members of Faust as their backup band. Recorded at Wümme, W. Germany, 1973. Includes double sided lyric insert and Recommended Records advertisements. Title on the cover and on disc labels is "Slapp Happy Or Slapp Happy", but on the spine it is "Acnalbasac Noom". This release will eventually be re-released with its second title only. Re-issued on CD by ReR Megacorp as Acnalbasac Noom ReR SHCD. This an alternate version of Slapp Happy's album "Casablanca Moon".

Saturday, March 5, 2016. Slapp Happy - 1980 - Acnalbasac Noom. Slapp Happy 1980 Acnalbasac Noom. The original recordings finally saw release on Recommended Records in 1980 as Slapp Happy or Slapp Happy, then (here comes the really confusing part) reissued again by Recommended as Acnalbasac Noom. Today, if you want the original Faust version, your best bet is on CD, titled Acnalbasac Noom. Acnalbasac Noom is pop music with brains-eclectic, jazzy, psychedelic, experimental and intelligent, but never prone to lengthy instrumental passages or songwriting that could be considered "progressive" in the early 70's meaning of the word
