Having inaugurated NRSB-11 with a self titled 12" on WeMe last year, the pairing of Gerald Donald and DJ Stingray return to the project in more expansive fashion here with Commodified, a full album for the Belgian label. The twelve track album sounds exactly as one might imagine from this pairing, with the subaqueous strains of the sonics augmented by a socio political undertone that goes far beyond the track titles.

Commodified marks Donald and Stingrays second release as NRSB-11, though the two have previously collaborated on other projects, and will be released through the Belgian label WéMè, a regular home of Stingray’s, on September 9. More good news for Donald fans: as previously reported, a new Dopplereffekt release is also on the way through Leisure System

NRSB-11 has been played on NTS over 10 times, featured on 13 episodes and was first played on 14 May 2016. A collaboration between former contributors to the Detroit electro outfit Drexicya: musicians Heinrich Mueller (Gerald Donald) and DJ Stingray (Sherard Ingram). An eponymous LP, NRSB-11, was released in 2012. The first full length album, Commodified, followed in 2013. The two had previous collaborated on the split EP Drexciyan Connection in 2009.
