Walter "Wolfman" Washington (born December 21, 1943) is an American singer and guitarist, based in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. While his roots are in blues music, he blends in the essence of funk and R&B to create his own unique sound. Washington was born in New Orleans, and whilst still in his teens, he was invited to play in Lee Dorsey's band. In the mid 1960s, Washington formed the All Fools Band, and played at clubs in New Orleans.

Walter "Wolfman" Washington, who has an expressive and enthusiastic if not overly memorable voice, is virtually the entire show during this set which mixes together New Orleans funk and 60s soul with aspects of the blues. Although there are pieces by Jerry Butler, Ray Charles and Gamble and Huff, most of the selections are Washington originals. Wolfman's backup group the Roadmasters (a rhythm section with keyboardist Luca Fredericksen plus three guest horn players) is fine in support but fairly anonymous.

The tracks collected here are mostly culled from a 1981 album called GET ON UP recorded in New Orleans of course. Highlights are two slow blues cuts called "It's Rainin' In My Life" & "Sure Enoguh It's You" with excellent vocals and some crisp guitar soloing from Washington

Later, Thompson formed another project called Quietly Torn. He continued working with Robert Plant and joined the singer's group for the 2002 release Dreamland. In 2002, Thompson also had an exhibition of paintings in Cornwall, UK & Canada entitled "100% SKY". Thompson officially rejoined the Cure for a third time in June 2005, and recorded the live DVD The Cure: Festival 2005, appeared on their 13th studio album, 4:13 Dream, toured with The Cure for their 2007-2008 4Tour
