The mixer is John Fleming with a bit of help from Richard Evans, who in my opinion is the greatest mixer of all time. The first CD contains 20 included hits, and the mixing is quite good in all honesty. It starts with Jam & Spoon's Stella, Chicane's Saltwater even though it's not exactly trance (love the tune though) and then we have Faithless' Insomnia and Way Out West's The Gift. Overall, it is a nicely presented mix of commercial and popular trance anthems from the late 90's all piled into one. I would say definitely give this a listen, if you're into trance during the switch of the century. It is one of the best releases out there, and it shows that age really doesn't matter.

This is definitely a nice breath of fresh air after a while. There are two CD's included in this mixed compilation, and while both are enjoyable, the first is a typical commercial induced one filled with good tunes that are trance, but overused. The second however, goes beyond what we always hear and gives us highly deepened trance tunes that you would not see on every other album out there. The mixer is John Fleming with a bit of help from Richard Evans, who in my opinion is the greatest mixer of all time. With CD 1, there are 20 included hits, and the mixing is quite good in all honesty. It starts with Jam & Spoon's Stella, Chicane's Saltwater even though it's not exactly trance (love the tune though) and then we have Faithless' Insomnia and Way Out West's The Gift. After that we have one of my favourite tunes - Agnelli & Nelson's El Nino, with everything from track 10 being superb through until the end. Some noteworthy mentions here are Energy 52's Cafe Del Mar (Nalin & Kane Remix), Mauro Picotto's Lizard (Radio Edit), Paul Van Dyk's For An Angel, DJ Sakin & Friends's Protect Your Mind, Lange's I Believe, BT's Flaming June, Blank & Jones' Cream, Veracocha's Carte Blanche and System F's Out Of The Blue. There were some songs that really should not have been on here, like Grace's Not Over Yet as it is not trance and overused in every compilation, as well as DJ Quicksilver's Bellissima and Robert Miles' Children which are way over used and are not hard enough to be considered trance. The other song that should not have been here, despite it being trance, is B.B.E's Seven Days And One Week. It just feels too commercial and boring at this point, when they could easily have added B.B.E's Desire instead. Binary Finary's 1998 (1999 Gouryella's Radio Edit) makes an appearance, but I would have preferred any other version over this one, especially the original 1998 edit. However, with all the good there is, my favourite songs were definitely Agnelli & Nelson's El Nino, Lange's I Believe and BT's Flaming June. The mixing is superb, or at least up until track 16, then the quality fades for the last few tracks unfortunately with little to no effort. However, that being said, I still love this CD and would happily recommend it.I read in someone else's review here that they did not like the second disc as much, as there were less hits to enjoy. Well, I would have to respectfully disagree. This CD is way superior in my eyes, as all of these do feel like trance and none were shoved in just for the sake of it, nor were any overused. The mixing is pretty good but there is just so much more to love here, as we have Storm's Storm (Radio Edit), Three Drives's Greece 2000 followed by two back to back inclusions that I had never heard, but are amazing - these being Underworld's Dark & Long and Paul van Dyk's Forbidden Fruit . The next three tunes were already among my favourites; Mike Koglin's The Silence, Humate's Love Stimulation (Paul Van Dyk's Love Mix - Horfunk Edit) and Tilt's Invisible, love it! Alice Deejay's Better Off Alone makes a surprise appearance here but thank god! It's not the commercialized original but the Signum Remix, followed by Taucher's Child Of The Universe (which I've never heard but enjoyed), Salt Tank's Dimension and a top hit of mine - Marc Et Claude's La. Finally, we then get DJ Sakin & Friends's Nomansland, Ralph Fridge's Paradise, Ayla's Ayla, Johnny Shaker's Pearl River, the wonderful Cygnus X's The Orange Theme, Aurora in a different remix and my favourite song of the CD - Lost Witness's Happiness Happening. The CD then ends nicely with Star Raiderz vs. Scaramanga's Perfect Beat. There was honestly so much to love about the inclusions presented here, and the mixing is nice. So I would have to give this one the 'perfect score'.Overall, it is a nicely presented mix of commercial and popular trance anthems from the late 90's all piled into one. I would say definitely give this a listen, if you're into trance during the switch of the century. It is one of the better releases out there, and it shows that age really doesn't matter.

A nice collection .... of very commercial mixes. No exactly the cream of the Trance around the 1990s but if your wanting a DJ Mix you could give it a go..

I fondly recall buying this CD in the United States using travelers checks and to this day will support my decision to spend a great deal of cash on this double CD. Mixed by John OO Fleming, (long before his psy-trance days), this double cd is an excellent representation of trance near the turn of the century. Featuring a lineup of classic trance tunes, any trance collector should certainly consider this a vital release to complete their collection. Highly recommend!!
