The album features great works of Bach and Reger, two composers who over the years have been cornerstones of the cathedral’s organ tradition, not least due to the influence of former organist and choirmaster Arild Sandvold. In the early 20th century the traditions of critical realism that had developed in the late 19th century were continued and developed. Three names were prominent among the writers who continued the traditions of critical realism. They were George Bernard Shaw, John Galsworthy and Herbert George Wells.
