The Cranberries - Roses album flac

Roses is the sixth studio album by the Irish rock band The Cranberries, released in the Republic of Ireland on 22 February 2012 and globally on 27 February 2012 through Cooking Vinyl and Downtown Records. Produced by Stephen Street, it was the band's first studio release in ten years. Originally planned to be released in late 2003, the recordings for the follow-up to Wake Up and Smell the Coffee were scrapped after the band decided to go their separate ways.

An okay album, without the killer tracks good enough for single release as seen on the first two albums, but no real 'fillers' either (nothing like 'Copycat', thankfully). Without this dreaminess, the Cranberries are merely pretty, but unlike the turgidly ambitious Bury the Hatchet and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee - or on Dolores O'Riordan's pair of perfectly fine solo albums - Roses has definition and momentum, momentum that doesn't derive from artificially enhanced electric guitars, either. However subtle it may be, the Cranberries do have a chemistry, one that helps shape the melodies, one that gives O'Riordan a gentle, supportive bed for her commanding vocals

This album pretty much continues the discography of the Cranberries as if they have never taken a break. One small difference: The album is somewhat more mature, but this is just fine because most fans have matured as well. Riordan voice is still one of the best there is. Not without reason she has been chosen to sing in duet with vocal wonders like Pavarotti in the past.
