Laibach - Volk album flac

The word Volk means "people" or "nation" in German and "wolf" in Slovene. The album is a collection of thirteen songs inspired by national or pan-national anthems, plus the anthem of the NSK State, a virtual state to which Laibach belong. The album is a collaboration with another Slovenian band Silence.

This album is work of art, both in conception and execution. Every track is delicious, and masterfully presented. And personally, "Francia" remains one of my top Laibach tracks of all time. Like ' Nato ' published in 1994, which was based on the theme of the times of war, Laibach provides us with ' Volk ' an album composed entirely of re- interpretations of no less than 14 national anthems. A very strong theme, very politicized and confusing at first listen, the new Laibach savored endless once apprehended.

LAIBACH announced a brand new album release, VOLK. The album was released on Mute on 23rd October and has been preceded by a single release, ANGLIA on 9th October 2006. VOLK is a collection of interpretations of national anthems and beside others it also includes the transnational anthem of NSK State in time. All other tracks are based on and inspired by original anthems

The album is a collection of thirteen songs inspired by national or pan-national anthems, plus the anthem of the NSK State, a virtual state to which Laibach belong. The anthem of the NSK is essentially the same arrangement as "The Great Seal", a song on their 1987 album Opus Dei. Like "The Great Seal", the words are based on Winston.

But that second question doesn't seem to come up as often as it should, and while Laibach have found it easy to generate publicity by irritating various European governments in and around their native Slovenia, the band's fans have been disappointingly willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Drape your fascist tendencies in a sufficiently thick layer of camp, it seems, and postmodern sophisticates will nod along knowingly.
