Despite this, Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy does find the band continuing to evolve quite a bit given the short break between albums, giving Dredg fans something to sink their teeth into without the customary three- to four-year gaps that they’ve become accustomed to. Track Listing.
Chuckles And Mr. Squeezy is a music studio album recording by DREDG (Crossover Prog/Progressive Rock) released in 2011 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette. The Bad: I had heard that Chuckles and Mr. Squeezy took the band's music in a new direction and by judging the album's artwork and title I was expecting something entirely obscure. Turns out it's the complete opposite. Sure there a couple of electronic twists and a hint of The Flaming Lips every now and then, but overall its their least adventurous release to date, and sadly just sounds like a watered down version of Panic at the Disco.
A new dredg album is tentatively planned out later this year, marking their first release in roughly eight years. Vocalist/guitarist Gavin Hayes appeared recently on ‘The Barnshow Podcast‘ (hear it below,) and spoke of the lengthy hiatus the band are emerging from: We love to play music together-that’s kind of the main thing. It’s just one of those things where I don’t ever really see us stopping. It’s just everyone kind of does their own thing for awhile and then we want to write again.
