Iron Reagan is an American crossover thrash supergroup from Richmond, Virginia, consisting of Municipal Waste vocalist Tony Foresta, Cannabis Corpse and Municipal Waste bassist Phil "LandPhil" Hall, former . guitarist Mark Bronzino, former Darkest Hour drummer Ryan Parrish, and Hellbear bassist Rob Skotis. Since their formation in 2012, they have released three full-length albums, one EP and two split EPs. Their 2014 album The Tyranny of Will peaked at 22 on the Billboard 200.

Toxic Shock plays the same type of music but the group's songs are a little bit slower and longer which makes them slightly more interesting. The riffs have more substance, there are a few solid fills that let the rhythm section shine and the vocals are quite entertaining because they don't take themselves overtly serious. Especially the enthusiastic and grooving ''The Survivalist'' can be considered a true highlight of this release. In the end, this split release is quite average and only interesting for faithful collectors and fans of crossover thrash metal
