Magical Mystery Tour is an album by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as a double EP in the United Kingdom and an LP in the United States. Produced by George Martin, it includes the soundtrack to the 1967 film of the same name.
The Beatles devised, wrote and directed a television film called Magical Mystery Tour which was broadcast on BBC Television at Christmas, 1967. Even before Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, had hit the shops, the idea of the programme had been born and work had commenced on the title track. These titles were "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Penny Lane", "All You Need Is Love" - their anthem that had been broadcast around the world via Satellite in June.

The Magical Mystery Tour movie was finally broadcast on BBC television on December 26th, 1967, and became the first Beatles project to be an outright flop. It didn’t help that the BBC aired it in black-and-white rather than color. As an LP, Magical Mystery Tour was an unqualified triumph, sitting atop the American charts for eight weeks and eventually going sextuple-platinum. It extended and refined the Beatles’ version of psychedelia: a vision of the world that was essentially colorful, reflective and loving, but encompassed bad trips as well as good ones. Limited Edition Original master recording, re-mastered using Capitol's 1967 Stereo and Duophonic tapes.(Mo-Fi later issued the cassette version with all true stereo mixes using a master from EMI Germany)

White Mo-Fi label has the EMI box logo (not Capitol).
Issued in a gatefold jacket, each pressing came with a posterboard fold-out insert protecting the LP. On one side had a photo of historical-looking figures holding up Mo-Fi LPs stating "Limited Editions From the Original Masters", the other side is a description of Mo-Fi's background & process. Inside the fold out shows other Mo-Fi releases.
The LP itself is translucent (hold it up to a bright light and you can see through it) and comes in a paper-lined rice paper sleeve.
Also included is a yellow 5" x 8" Certificate of Limited Warranty, a Business-Reply survey mailer and 8.5" x 11" order form for Mo-Fi's GEO-DISC! (see photos)

Taiwan pressing, no track times given. See scans.***This pressing seems to have been copied from an LP that was highly worn, especially towards the last 2 tracks. I have several copies of it and they are painful to listen to at the end of each side. Upon visual inspection, the vinyl looks fine, in one case nearly mint. This is probably the reason for this label to release it later under a different catalog number - FL-2346, with the widely known cover.
