Evergreen Terrace is a five-piece American hardcore punk band from Jacksonville, Florida. Formed in 1999, they are named after the street inhabited by the Simpsons. The band's sixth and latest studio album Dead Horses was released on December 10, 2013 via Rise Records. Funner! The same year they released their third studio-album entitled Sincerity Is an Easy Disguise in This Business on June 21. Shortly after, drummer Christopher Brown left the band and was replaced by Kyle Mims. The next few years were spent touring non-stop, worldwide.

Thankfully, Evergreen Terrace is unlike Atreyu, as there isn't an overload of clean vocals, and the vocals that are clean aren't whiny at all. On some of the faster-paced songs, Craig's vocals can compare somewhat to Bane. The contrasting vocals and solid guitar-work are a great setup, but Evergeen Terrace strengthens this setup with the ability to write even better music. The CD starts off with "Dogfight," and it shows how well the songwriting is on the album

One of the things Evergreen Terrace has going for them is the fact that more often than not, Chaney's clean vocals don't sound like a mere afterthought - they are used to provide real hooks. In fact, many of the songs on this album could have been reworked into more mainstream, non-hardcore alternative pop/rock tunes; take out the brutal parts and Carey's agonized screaming, and you're left with the ingredients of songs that a post-grunge or emo band might find useful.
