About Box Office Poison. started a new genre of music called Pop Noir, which has a atmospheric, filmic feel and gritty lyrics just like it's sister genre Film Noir. Production was experimental, with song writer/producer and driving force Russell C. Brennan (Aka Russell Writer) reluctant to leave the studio until he'd invented a new sound or way of doing things on the tracks. Mouse was the other co vocalist in the bands second period, She wa also a scientist & Designer. She had a solo album out as well 'Mirror Image; Mouse. This is the 7" demo version of a catchy cover of the instrumental popcorn Its hypnotic and a bit dancey (If you liked the bands single 'Checkmate you'll like this) . It is a rare yellow label one sided vinyl of the track which was supposed to go out on a label called 'Hit records) But rather than hit the charts the label hit the dust and went out of business before this could be released making this the bands rarest record. The white label master version eventually surfaced on Future Legend records on a CD/Download album 'That Instrumental vibe' and was recently released as a download single but this version never did get a vinyl release making this ultra rare.Other versions
