Field Trip is an album by Canadian rock band The Grapes of Wrath, released in 2000. The album marked the reunion of Kevin Kane and Tom Hooper as songwriting partners and bandmates for the first time since 1991's These Days, although they were the only two original band members to appear on the album. Session musicians filled in the remaining slots left by departing members Chris Hooper and Vincent Jones, including Pete Bourne on drums and Dave Genn on keyboards.

And then it's like nothing ever happened. The Grapes of Wrath split up very acrimoniously following the release of 1991's These Days album, casting serious doubt on the possibility of a follow-up release. It took nearly ten years, and the fact that both of them had recently become fathers, for Tom Hooper and Kevin Kane to dispense with the lawyers, remember their long friendship, and get back to the business of making music.

The Grapes of Wrath is a 1940 American drama film directed by John Ford. It was based on John Steinbeck's 1939 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name. The screenplay was written by Nunnally Johnson and the executive producer was Darryl F. Zanuck. The film tells the story of the Joads, an Oklahoma family, who, after losing their farm during the Great Depression in the 1930s, become migrant workers and end up in California.

These Days is a 1991 album by The Grapes of Wrath. Produced by John Leckie, the album found the band attempting to expand their traditional folk rock sound in a more guitar-heavy alternative rock direction. Although the album sold well, and spawned the hit singles "You May Be Right" and "I Am Here", it was not as popular with audiences or critics as its predecessor, 1989's Now and Again. Kane and Tom Hooper reunited in 2000 to record Field Trip under the Grapes of Wrath name, although the other band members did not participate in that project. Video & DVD Collection. In 1992, the band released a VHS video collection entitled Those Days.
