Essentials is the second compilation album by the alternative rock band Failure. It was released in 2006 on CD Baby. Following the release of Golden (2004), both key members, Ken Andrews and Greg Edwards got back together to create a double disc album highlighting Failure's best moments, while including several rarities and the complete demos for Magnified (1994). The album also includes individual song critiques by Ken and Greg (only for the first disc). Tracks 1-3 are from the debut album Comfort.
Finnish folk metallers ENSIFERUM will release their seventh album, "Two Paths", on September 15 via Metal Blade Records. Produced by Anssi Kippo, the disc was recorded on tape, for a true analog experience. The first single from the album, "For Those About To Fight For Metal", can be streamed below. You can't talk about the true greats of folk-inspired melodic death metal without reverent mention of ENSIFERUM, and with "Two Paths", they once more affirm their place in the pantheons of the genre.

Failure frontman/guitarist Ken Andrews appeared recently on ‘2 Hours With Matt Pinfield‘ and spoke about the band’s forthcoming new album, among other topics. Regarding their next opus, they are four songs in thus far, with Andrews stating: It’s coming along really cool. We’re kind of doing it the way we did on The Heart Is A Monster. Right now we’re just kind of roughing things out in my studio. And then we go into a nicer, drum studio studio and get Kelli on ther. .The conversation also found him mentioning that the album may be released in stages
