restless review is absolutely perfect and it's very difficult to talk better about this release ! to tell you the truth, this one has never left my favorite's records place, for more than 25 years, now...that said, i'm very surprised today that nobody has made the link before, between this mysterious italian dj Sasha (2) and the famous u.k dj star Sasha ! maybe i'm wrong, but until today, it was clear to my mind this release was the first u.k sasha production... it was what every dj's were talking about in 1992, when i have found this record at usa import record shop in lille, north of france, and notably DJ Adolphe who was the shop's resident. it was also 4 or 5 years later, whereas i was playing this track at 'le shop', a large street wear shop in the center of paris, where dj's were playing each afternoon of the week, i have meet a british dj called Boombatcha who was also playing there, telling me : 'hey, it's an old sasha you are playing... ! where do you have found it ? we like sasha in united kingdom !', something like this...anyway, at the begining of the 90's, in north of france and belgium, there was a very strong connection between a french dj called Phi-Phi (resident in the main belgium's clubs, as boccacio life, at the villa, extreme, etc...), with other underground international dj's, as john digweed, paul oakenfold, laurent garnier, paul van dyk, or sasha... it was one or two weeks only, after dj sasha came to play in belgium, we have found this record in every local record shop of the area... unfortunately (it's true), the first names of each artist are unknown there, and the subject is really difficult to study ! i have already found a picture here from the italian dj Sasha (2), b-side of this release : Sasha (2) - The Sasha Multiground E.P. Vol. 1... maybe you can have a look and make your own opinion, comparing u.k dj Sasha profile's older pictures, or maybe again with the sleeve of this one : Tong* / Cox* / Sasha / Oakenfold* - Essential Mix... i hope it will help you and it will contribute to the next discussions about it !one thing is absolutely sure about this release, despite of its flooded cat #, it was the very first one from the label ! ! ! other sure informations are this one was not a limited one, 'limited' was a part of the label name, probably like 'promo' was also for this first release, until the label manager changed his mind for the second... because every dj's who have this record around me have paid for it ! ! !have a nice day ! ???? dub_e_72

Mate, you are really, REALLY wrong. This release has nothing to do with the UK Sasha at all. You really are completely wrong here. How do I know; because I happen to have met Sasha on numerous occasions. If you don't believe me, contact him directly yourself. He will confirm this is NOT him. Whatever you have been told by a handful of people, it''s NOT Alexander Coe who made this record.

Recently resurrected by Soul Clap in a memorable Resident Advisor podcast, "A Key To Heaven..." has the simplicity, modesty and naivety of some of the great deep house and balearic classics. No particular musical knowledge or technical sound-texturing was needed to produce this blissful tune built around beautiful emotional pads and a playful and melancholic bassline a la Murk or cooled-down MK. But this tune didn't need technicity as it had plenty of the key ingredients : the vibe and the spirit of these now long gone times, perfectly captured and preserved throughout time and still intact to this day for those lucky ones who were there, and understandable (or more accurate, "feelable") by the younger listeners who discover this gem now. Essential tune.
