Album: Damn Yankees (1990). Charted: 3. Get the Sheet Music License This Song. This was the first single from Damn Yankees, who were a supergroup that included Jack Blades from Night Ranger, Tommy Shaw from Styx, and Ted Nugent. In our interview with Jack Blades, he explained: "'High Enough' was about how you love someone so much and you just don't want to scare them away. And it's like, do I take the next step? And then she freaks out when you go, 'I love yo.
The second released single from this Supergroup’s debut album is a hard rock ballad. 1. High Enough Lyrics. I don't wanna hear about it anymore It's a shame I've got to live without you anymore There's a fire in my heart A pounding in my brain It's driving me crazy. We don't need to talk about it anymore Yesterday's just a memory Can we close the door I just made one mistake I didn't know what to say When you called me baby.
Lyrics to "High Enough" song by Damn Yankees: I don't wanna hear about it anymore It's a shame I've got to live without you anymore There's a fire. Don't say goodbye Say you're gonna stay forever Oh, whoa, all the way (all the way, all the way, yeah). Can you take me high enough Can you fly me over (fly me over) yesterday Can you take me high enough It's never over, whoa, whoa, whoa. Can you take me high enough Won't you fly me over (won't you fly me over) yesterday Can you take me high enough It's never over, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Nevertheless, the group also had a rocking side to them that most people were not aware of, and High Enough definitely brings the best of the bunch to the forefront. And though the group was swallowed whole by the Seattle explosion of the early '90s, this might be a good (and economically sensible) place to start rediscovering one of hair metal's last great stands of the late '80s and early '90s.
