Six Magics is a Chilean metal group formed initially by Pablo Stagnaro, Erick Ávila, Nicolás Espinoza, Juan Pablo Pizarro and Sergio Villarroel. At first, Erick Ávila composed the music while Juan Pablo Pizarro and Sergio Villarroel wrote the lyrics. Their songs were originally all in Spanish. After a year, in 1996, in the recording studios of Balmaceda Arte Joven, they recorded four songs for the EP Trilogía de un guerrero (Trilogy of a Warrior).

Six Magics is a Chilean symphonic power metal band that was started around 1996 by five teenagers in Santiago de Chile. At that moment Six Magics was: Pablo Stagnaro (Drums), Erick Avila (Guitars), Nicolás Espinoza (Guitars), Juan Pablo Pizarro (Bass) and Sergio Villaroel (Vocals). The band played in many Chilean cities receiving great local support. In those days their songs were in spanish, but there was an intention to start writing lyrics in English.

I remember some years ago, a friend of mine traveled to Chile to visit his brother, that lives there, when he came back, he brought me a Demo tape he bought there, it was a band called Six Magics, and the Demo was "Trilogía De Un Guerrero" (Trilogy Of A Warrior), the tape had 4 songs, and to be honest I wasn't. Now at least I know Six Magics and I'm glad to know them because they did something great with this album believe m. The Secret Of An Island" is an ambitious album, the band in fact chose to do a real symphonic Metal. Don't try to do any comparison with Nightwish for example, we are maybe nearer of Therion if you want, and even if it's really hard to compare these bands, they are both really unique, at least you have a first idea.
