He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" is a ballad written by Bobby Scott and Bob Russell. Originally recorded by Kelly Gordon in 1969, the song became a worldwide hit for The Hollies later that year and again for Neil Diamond in 1970. It has been recorded by many artists in subsequent years. The Hollies' and Rufus Wainwright's versions of the song were featured in the film Zoolander.
Перевод текста песни He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother исполнителя (группы) Cher. Но я сильная, у меня достаточно сил, чтобы нести его, He ain't heavy - he's my brother. Он не тяжкий груз – он мой брат. So on we go, his welfare is my concern. Так и идем, его благополучие – моя забота, No burden is he to bare, we'll get there.
So on we go His welfare is of my concern No burden is he to bear We'll get there For I know He would not encumber me He ain't heavy, he's my brother. If I'm laden at all I'm laden with sadness That everyone's heart Isn't filled with the gladness Of love for one another.
My Aunt used the the title, "He ain't heavy he's my brother". My Dad was the oldest son and his Dad left the family. So my Dad stepped up and became their protector/ provider. Melinda from Blancard, OkDoes anyone know the name of the movie that is about 2 boys running and one of them is hurt and the other carries his brother and they met up with a priest and the priest ask to take the brother and the older says "He's not heavy he's my brother". I dont believe it is "Men of Boys Town". Steve from Mt Maunganui, New ZealandRemember seeing the Hollies many times when they toured New Zealand in the 60s and 90s. One time Allan Clarke had left for a solo career and they had a Scandinavian lead singer. But "He ain't heavy, he's my brother" always sent a chill up my spine as it echoed around Western Springs Stadium in Auckland.
After delving into more "serious" music with the Dylan album, the Hollies return to their pop roots with this fine effort. All 11 selections are self-penned, and as usual, there is inconsistency in the quality of songwriting. However, even the most inconsequential tunes boast a good melody and solid musicianship . Though the Hollies never gained a reputation as serious album artists, this is a good effort that maintains a balance between lightweight and serious pop material.
Album: Hollies Sing Hollies. Translations: Croatian, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Ukrainian. with many a winding turn. that lead us to who knows where. But I'm strong, strong enough to carry him. He ain't heavy, he's my brother. No burden is he to bear. for I know he would not encumber me. He ain't heavy, he's my brother
